Our beloved Joseph (Joe) George Willardsen, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Las Vegas, Nev. On Sun. Jan. 26, 2025 due to undetermined heart issues. He was born Oct. 4,1971 in San Bernadino, Calif., the son of Art and Ann Willardsen.
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Harrisburg, Penn from 1990-1992, serving in the office utilizing his computer skills. Joe was always very responsible, had a caretaker type mentality, always making sure everyone around him felt included.
He had an entrepreneurial spirit, starting “Black Rose” a high-end mountain bike company followed by a company called “Tweeqd”, a clothing business with his brother Jared while attending college.
Joe attended BYU for 4 years and then went on to Loma Linda Dental School to study cosmetic dentistry. In 2001 Joe opened True Dentistry in Las Vegas. Later adding 2 more locations. His Esthetic Alliance Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dental Lab was one-of-a-kind as he was a master of occlusion and aesthetics with in the dental industry.
Joe’s expertise took him all over the world speaking at dental conferences and teaching for the ADA, CDA, and internationally at universities. He dedicated countless hours of service helping cancer patients, accident victims, veterans, and many within the motorcross and action sports arena. As he would say to them “I need to fix your smile.”
Nothing was more important to him than his family. On Dec. 23, 2010 he married Audree Shelton in Las Vegas, NV. He was an amazing father to 3 children.
Joe Willardsen is survived by his wife Audree, his son Jonas (13), and his daughters Stella (10), Paige (6), and his 200lb dog Rookie; his mother Ann of South Jordan Utah; and siblings Memory (Matt) Dixon of South Jordan, Utah; Jim (Andrea) Willardsen of Provo, Utah; Rosie (Clark) Cressman of Nashville Tenn.; sister in law Marie Willardsen of San Clemente, Calif.; and Jared (Patty) Willardsen of Draper, UT; along with several nieces and nephews and countless friends that never eave his house.
He was preceded in death by his father George Arthur Willardsen and his brother John Elliot Willardsen.
A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held in Parowan, “Joe’s sanctuary,” on Sat. Feb.1 with a Celebration Of Life scheduled for Sat. Feb. 22 in Las Vegas.
