We celebrate the life, and memory of Kathryn (Kathy) Hartman, 75, of Boulder City, NV who passed away February 2nd, 2023 surrounded by family. Kathy was born on an airbase in Japan, in 1947, and grew up on air bases around the world. When she was 15, her parents settled down in California. Kathy graduated high school and went to UCSB to study anthropology. During that time, she also took four years of Spanish, and became an ESL tutor at various elementary and Jr high schools. Kathy also taught children with learning disabilities, at Garrett Jr High School and several schools throughout the Vegas Valley. She loved the community, and also became a religious education instructor at St Andrew Catholic Church.
Kathy is preceded in death, by her husband Robert and her parents. She is survived by her four siblings, four children, and nine grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, travel, gardening, ice cream, and family. Kathy loved being a mother so much that she opened her home to teenager, in order for that teen to finish high school. She loved being a grandmother, and rearranged her life to spend time with each of them.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed: her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’” -Proverbs 31:28-31
