Larry David Johnson

Larry David Johnson, age 80, of Mesquite, NV passed away on September 3, 2024. He was born in El Dorado Kansas on March 15,1944 to Otis Peter Johnson and Hazel Louise Merryman Johnson. He served his country in the United States Navy as a sonarman on the USS POMODON SS 486. He married Karen Irene Ulrich in Poulsbo, WA. Larry’s job in telecommunications networking allowed him to travel and live in many places in the world; finally making Mesquite their home eight years ago.

Larry was a man’s man. He loved cars, motorcycles, jeeps, off-roading, dune buggies. He enjoyed being near the water sailing and surfing. He loved to shoot, travel, adventure and being outdoors. He was a true patriot and was a life member of the VFW and recently with Veterans group in Mesquite. He enjoyed being with friends and strangers alike no matter what country he was in or language barrier there might be. BBQ’s, fire pits anywhere, good times were had by all. Larry and Karen made friends everywhere they went and have close ties to many all over the world. He loved life and lived it fully.
