Lenore Opsahl
June 1, 1920 — February 16, 2013
Lenore Ida Opsahl age 92, entered into eternal life on February 16, 2013. She was born on June 1, 1920 in Cokato, MN to Simon and Esther Peterson. She married Colonel Eric Opsahl on December 22, 1951 in Turlock, California. Colonel preceded her in death in 2007.
Lenore was a wonderful woman who enjoyed reading, watching movies, doing crossword puzzles and other brain teasers. Lenore enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband in their motorhome. She had a strong Christian faith and was a member of the Green Valley Christian Center. Lenore was an excellent mother and known by all the neighbors as a great baker and was famous for her cookies and lemonade.
She is survived by her daughter JoAnn (James) Greco; and many close friends and family members.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25th, 2013 at 9:20am, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Verve Church 7850 S Dean Martin Drive #503 Las Vegas, NV 89139 in Lenore's name.
