Linda Cluckey

Linda Cluckey, 82, passed away peacefully in her Mesquite, Nevada home on September 30, 2022 surrounded by her husband, sister and one of her four daughters. Linda was born on May 11, 1940 in Camden, Ohio to Konrad and Margaret (Begoon) Havel.

Linda graduated New Lebanon High School in New Lebanon, Ohio in 1958. She married shortly after and had two daughters, Kristi (McKee) Schafer and Kelly (McKee) Bolling. In 1975, Linda moved out west to California with her two daughters. During the course of her retail career she met her soulmate, Larry Cluckey, whom she was married to for 47 years. Linda was a strong and determined woman who also enjoyed fashion, reading, crochet, and playing bingo.

She is survived by her husband Larry Cluckey, sister Connie Rie Havel, her four daughters and son in laws, Kristi and Scott Schafer, Kelly Bolling, Laurie and George Klotz, Lisa and Kevin Empting , her twelve grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Justin Lee, Amy Nevison, Taylor Schafer, Kalina McKee, Keanu Bolling, Kahlil Bolling, Kamilah Baxter, Ryan Klotz, Rachel Klotz, Amanda Dougher, and Matt Empting, and eleven great-grandchildren: Willow Lee, Robin Lee, Elena Nevison, Rowan Nevison, Teilani McKee, Kendrix Bolling, Kameron Bolling, Kamdin Baxter, Shane Empting, Ellie Empting and Ford Dougher. She is preceded in death by her parents Konrad and Margaret Havel, grandparents Della and Guy Begoon and grandson Dustin Baxter.

The family is having a private gathering to celebrate Linda’s life.

We cannot bring the old days back,

When we were all together,

The family chain is broken now,

But memories will live on forever.
