Lonnie Gene Robertson

Lonnie Gene Robertson, age 86, of Mesquite, NV passed away on August 7, 2023 in St George, UT. He was born in Herrin, IL to Clarence Albert Robertson and Esther Lorraine Null Robertson on July 22, 1937. He served his country in the United State Air Force for 8 years where he was a gunner on B52’s and B56’s. He married Frances Elizabeth Elliott on March 26, 1979 in Las Vegas, NV.

They lived in Denver, CO and moved to Mesquite in 2011 after retiring. Lonnie worked as a postal clerk for the United States Post Office for 28 years. He loved golfing and upon his retirement from the post office in 1995 his claim to fame was that he golfed 17 days in a row. He played golf with a group of ladies that were known to be his golf wives. He always loved tipping a few drinks at any 19th hole after a day on the course and even just tipping a few with friends when golf wasn’t involved. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading James Patterson’s books.

Lonnie is survived by his wife Fran Robertson; five children Jeannie Richard, Lonnie (Marlyn) Robertson Jr, Randy (Cheri) Robertson, Angela (Tiny) Neason, Suzanne Robertson; a sister Judith Robertson; eleven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Lonnie wishes were to be cremated with no services.
