Marcus Trujillo

November 12, 1946 — February 18, 2012

Marcus Benjamin Trujillo Jr. of Boulder City, NV passed away on February 18, 2012with his loving wife by his side and surrounded by his living family. He was born in Seattle, WA, on November 12, 1946, to Marcus Benjamin and Opal (Bates) Trujillo. He married Karen Swanson. They moved to Boulder City from Salt Lake City, Utah, 31 years ago.

Marcus was proud to be a Sgt. In the Marines, he served two combat tours of duty in Vietnam and was a true American patriot. Marcus was a member of the American Legion in Boulder City and Spring Mountain Free Trappers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, rendezvous, and camping. In 1999 he shot a buffalo with his black powder rifle that was the Boone and Crockett record for the year. Marcus was an avid reader and read and owned thousands of books. His great love and enjoyment came with playing and teasing his grandbabies.

Marcus is survived by his wonderful wife of 39 years, Karen and 11 children: Marcus (Courtney) Coldren, Marcia (Jeremie) Trujillo, Angelina Trujillo, Antonio (Ginny) Trujillo, Rosanna (Travis) Arrasmith, Daniel Trujillo, Marcus Diego Trujillo, Mercedes Trujillo, Monica (Brett) Trujillo, Shane Zellow, Cpl., Thomas Leavitt USMC, 11 grandchildren and a very large extended family.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 10:40 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Marcus Trujillo Memorial Fund 9-71673003 at Boulder Dam Credit Union.
