Margo Snowden

Margo Jeanette Corey Snowden, age 77, longtime resident of Boulder City, NV passed away on October 23, 2016 in Iowa City, Iowa while on vacation with her two daughters Lori and Lisa. She was born on November 30, 1938 in Delta, Millard County, UT to John and Ada LaFay Works Corey. She married Elmer Lee Snowden on January 15, 1957 in Las Vegas, NV.
Margo is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Lee Snowden; parents John and Ada LaFay Works Corey; two brothers Philo and Ralph; and one sister Eleanor. Margo is survived by four children Lori (Layne) Weber, Lisa (Rick) Gardner, Larry (Jaclyn) Snowden, Lonny (Sheri) Snowden; brother David LeRoy (Karroll) Corey; her sister-in-law Joyce Gronning; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Margo worked as the secretary at Mitchell Elementary School for 18 years. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). Margo lived a full life with her husband Lee. They completed three missions: two in Chicago and one service mission for the Family History Department for the LDS Church. They went to Mexico and Europe and traveled all over the United States. Margo and Lee really enjoyed spending many summers in Alaska, Washington and California as camp host. Margo spent many years as a Ward and Stake Music Director and was Choir Director for many years. For the last 20 years, she was a Family History Consultant for her Ward and Stake; she really loved doing family history for herself and many others. Margo was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Boulder City 5th Street LDS Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 10:45 am prior to the service. Burial will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 9:20 am.
