Maria Tina Villegas

Maria Ernestina Villegas “Tina”, age 90 of Mesquite, NV passed away on May 27, 2024.  She was born on June 23, 1933 in Las Vegas, NM to Pedro Baca and Cleotilde Madrid Baca.  She married Ramon Haracio Villegas on November 30, 1957 in Las Vegas, NM.  They moved to Mesquite twelve years ago from Denver, CO.

Tina will be remembered for her amazing cooking ability, she loved to make Mexican food including chili, beans, and the best enchiladas.  She was strong in her faith and devotedly listened to Divine Mercy Chaplet.  She also enjoyed listening to music and going shopping.  Her presence will be missed by family with her many phone calls and messages sent via social media to keep in touch with her family.

Tina is survived by her husband Ramon Villegas; two sons Christopher (Lorena) Villegas, Gerard (Donna) Villegas; a brother Jake Baca; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a great, great, grandchild; and many nieces and nephews

Rosary will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2:00 pm at La Virgin de Guadalupe Catholic Church 401 Canyon Crest Blvd Mesquite, NV 89027.  The Mass will be held the following the Rosary at 3:00 pm.  Family and friends are welcome to share memories and condolences at www.starmortuary.com
