Marilyn Joyce Cannon Ward

Marilyn Joyce Cannon Ward, age 76, of Boulder City, NV passed away on January 26, 2025 at home. She was born in Clearmont, FL on October 18, 1948 to William Clifford Cannon and Alma Jean Glover Cannon. She married Steven Michael Ward on August 24, 1968 in Eustis, FL. They moved to Las Vegas while Steven was in the United States Air Force. In 1990 they moved to Boulder City.

Marilyn worked as a school crossing guard for 35 years and always had a special place in her heart for the school children. She enjoyed many adventures and trips in the motorhome to see her family in Florida and her daughter in Oregon. Marilyn and Steve also enjoyed going to Blue Grass Festivals. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. More than anything she enjoyed loving her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Steven Ward; a son Mike (Rebecca) Ward; a daughter Channa (Shane) Ellsworth; two sister Glenda (Chris) Leftwich, Gail (Bob) Kennedy; five grandchildren Joseph (Bayley) Ellsworth, Tyler (Cecilia) Ellsworth, Wendy (Ryan) Baadsgaard, Brenten Ellsworth, Racquel Skaare; two great great grandchildren Hudson Ellsworth and Carter Ellsworth.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at the Church on Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 916 5th Street Boulder City, NV 89005. Funeral Service will start at 9:00 am. Burial will follow the service at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr Boulder City, NV at 10:40 am.
