Marilynne Rose Rust Belnap, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, in Mesquite, Nevada, at the age 87. She was born on February 3, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Albert Wendell Rust and Rachael Irene Olive Rust, who instilled in her a strong sense of family, kindness, and resilience.
Marilynne married the love of her life, Keith Wilker Belnap, and together they built a beautiful family, raising five children: Michael Keith Belnap, Larry Eugene Belnap, Sherrie Lynn Wood, Thomas Daniel Belnap, and Dean Rust Belnap. She was a proud and loving grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, with more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Alice (Jimmy) Hopla and Dorothy (David) Bird, and four, grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Keith Wilker Belnap; her sons Michael (Lila), Larry (Terry), Thomas (Teri), and Dean (Anaya Gayle), daughter' Sherrie Lynne Wood (Dave Carpenter) and her sisters Mardell (Kent), Henderson and Wendy (Jody) Draney.
Marilynne's life was filled with love, laughter, and service. She was a devoted wife and mother a who always Put her family first. Whether through her warm hospitality, wise counsel, or gentle encouragement, she touched the lives of many. She had a deep appreciation for life's simple joys-spending time with family, creating lasting traditions, and finding beauty in everyday moments.
She will be dearly missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of life will be held on April 12, 2025, in Mesquite, Nevada, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
