Mark J. Hansen

Mark J. Hansen, 81, passed away on November 1st, 2023.

Mark was born in Ogden, Utah on July 9^th, 1942, in Ogden, Utah.  He graduated from Ogden High School and went on to earn a BS degree in Business Finance from Weber State College in June of 1973. He was married to Lee Hansen on June 8, 1963, in Ogden, Utah.

Mark also served as a member of the Army National Guard, 19^th Special Forces from 1960 to 1965.  He later went on to own and operate Ogden Realty and Hansen & Thompson Construction.

Mark loved golf, fishing and riding horses. He belonged to several golf leagues and was President of the Oasis Men’s Golf Club. Mark was a former President of the Weber Basin Homebuilders.

Mark is survived by his two sons Curtis (Marie) Hansen of Mesquite, NV. and Scott Hansen of Ogden, UT., his brother Lindsey (Barbara) Hansen and his sister Suzanne (Bob) Fife. Mark also had 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Jared) Anderson, Coty (Candice) Hansen, Seth Hansen, Tucker Hansen and Kyle Schanuth. He also had 7 great grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan, Jaycee, Joslyn Anderson and Briggs & Via Hansen and Asher Schanuth.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, parents, Lindsey Blaine Hansen and Helen Thompson Hansen, his sister Janice Halstead and his grandparents.
