Merla Garrett

Merla Garrett 74 of Henderson NV passed away peacefully at Odyssey Hospice in Las Vegas NV on August 27, 2011. Merla was born on February 26, 1937 in Overton NV. She was the 13th born of 15 children from Clarence & Mary Jean McDonald. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Senter, Tahnia Ross, Doreen Clark and husband George Clark and one son, Larry Johnson. Merla had 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Surviving sister, Eunice Schwecke, and surviving brothers Gerry McDonald & wife Marilyn and Karl McDonald & wife Connie. Merla moved to Inglewood CA in 1944 with her family. She retired from Allied Signal, Torrance CA in 1991. She moved to Henderson NV in 2006. She loved playing cards and to be surrounded by family and friends. She was the Heart of our Family! She will be GREATLY missed, but surely not forgotten.
