Milton "Wendy" Layne

Milton “Wendy” Layne of Boulder City, NV passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, at the age of 93.  Milton was born in Dallas, TX on January 16, 1927 to Bessie and Marvin Layne.

He grew up in Los Angeles, CA and joined the Navy in January 1944.  He fought in the South Pacific. He met and married his wife of 70 years, Barbara at Square D Electric.  He raced full midgets and sprint cars throughout the 50’s and 60’s.

He was a plumber, Mason (Shriners), accomplished pilot, Captain of the Lady Hilton Boat on Lake Mead, avid golfer and member of Boulder City Men’s Golf Club Association until his passing.

Wendy is survived by his wife Barbara Layne; two sons Michael (Gayle) Layne, Dustin (Jeri) Layne; eleven grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a son Wendy Patrick Layne.  We will miss you and you will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 12 noon at Bethany Baptist Church 210 Wyoming St., Boulder City, NV 89005.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 to 12:00.  Burial will follow the service at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1:20 pm.
