Misty Malynn Neilson

Misty Malynn Neilson of Boulder City, NV passed away February 10th 2024. 

She was born May 14, 1973 at Boulder City hospital to Cindy Webb and Steve Porter.

Misty excelled in school and was a ballerina at the local studio Dance Etc. She graduated Boulder City high school in 1992.

Misty started working at Lake Mead Marina after high school where she met James Neilson. Misty and James got married September of 1994 where they shortly welcomed their daughter Codie into the world December 29, 1994. Misty and James split ways in 1996 where later Misty met John Callahan and they had their son Dacoda August 26,2000. In September of 2002 Misty met Shannon Goodwin and they were blessed with three children, Adisyn September 28, 2005, Brooklyn January 27, 2008 and Jonathan March 10, 2010. Misty’s children were her whole world. 

A few short years ago she became very involved in the Calvary church and the PGR community. She loved volunteering for her community and helping feed the homeless. 

She was a proud American woman and let everyone around her know it. 

Misty Neilson is survived by her daughters Codie Thomas, Adisyn Neilson, Brooklyn Neilson, sons Dacoda Callahan and Jonathan Neilson, her grandchildren Everleigh and Waylon Thomas, her mothers Cindy Belding and Veronica Porter, her sister Jayme Bailey and brother Ryan Porter along with extended relatives and many friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed!
