Nancy Marie Richner

Nancy Marie Richner passed away on November 6, 2024 in Henderson Nevada. Nancy was born on April 7, 1938 in Pittcairn PA to John and Marie (Hoffner) Rodgers. She married Larry Richner on August 22, 1959 in Twinsburg, Ohio. 

 Nancy grew up in Pennsylvania. After she graduated high school, her family moved to Twinsburg Ohio. She attended Fenn College taking classes in business and banking. 

 Nancy had a long career that began at the Twinsburg Banking company. This is where she met Larry. She did payroll for the Twinsburg School District working from home when her children were young. She later was office manager for Richner Plumbing and Heating in Ohio then Richner Air Conditioning and Heating in Boulder City until she and Larry retired in 1998. 

 Nancy kept busy with volunteer work over the years in the Twinsburg Fire Department Auxillary, as a Cub Scout Leader, and with the Boulder City Hospital Foundation. She was a member of PEO, a red hatter, and was the secretary for the Rexahaulics motorhome club. She held several positions over the years with Faith Christian Church, of which she was a founding member.

 Nancy will be remembered as a fun and loving mother, an incredible grandmother, a wonderful sister and aunt, a loyal friend, and light to all who knew her. She loved to cook, bake, sew, and do crafts. She was very artistic and creative. She threw amazing parties with awesome themes. She loved to make people laugh and encouraged everyone to get involved and have a good time. Her costumes and antics are legendary. 

 She is survived by brother John Rodgers of Ravenna Ohio, son John (Anne) Richner of Boulder City, son David (Tina) Richner of Myrtle Creek Oregon, son Dean (Melanie) Richner of Boulder City, and daughter Jill (Shawn) Lynch of Henderson as well as 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Nancy is preceded in death by husband Larry Richner, parents John and Marie Rodgers, and Sister-In-Law Rose Marie Rodgers. 

 Nancy will be laid to rest at Veterans Memorial Cemetery on November 18th in a family service. A celebration of life will be held on Jan 11, 2025 at 1pm at Faith Christian Church 1100 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City NV. Casual dress with bright colors suggested in honor of Nancy’s bright personality and wardrobe. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Faith Christian Church building fund.
