Owen Evan Grant

January 6, 2012 — February 27, 2025

Henderson

Henderson, NV – Owen Evan Grant, 13 Owen Evan Grant, 13, passed away suddenly at his home on February 27, 2025. He was born on January 6, 2012, in Henderson, NV, to his loving parents, Thomas Nathan Grant and Kendra Cheri Ashby Grant.

Owen was blessed with a family who loved him dearly. He was also fortunate to live close to many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. He had a wide range of interests that often changed at the drop of a hat, but learning about computers and programming piqued his curiosity, and he likely would have pursued deeper education in that field. He experienced so many activities, hobbies, sports, arts, and entertainment that they cannot all be listed, but some of his favorites included racquetball, basketball, soccer, bowling, skateboarding, ATVs, trampoline parks (where dodgeball was his favorite activity), roller coasters of all sizes, hiking, camping, exploring, shooting, boxing, glass blowing, and even a dance class.

Owen had a sharp and piercing wit, a free-thinking intellect, a wonderful laugh, and a genuine smile. He was incredibly bright and impressive, always making conversations interesting. He absolutely loved animals, especially his three dogs—Ralf, Bella, and Arwen—and he also cared for his fish and frogs.

Owen’s closest and most cherished friends were his two younger brothers and his parents. Ever the big brother, he delighted in teasing, joking, wrestling, and doing almost everything with them. They rarely were away from each other and experienced every fun activity together. He never found a friendship like the one he shared with his brothers; they lived life together and created so many fun and meaningful memories.

Owen’s family will forever miss him and long for his company. Our broken hearts and lives are comforted by our Savior, Jesus Christ. Families are indeed eternal, and we hold onto that truth with faith and hope. We look forward to the joyous day when we will be reunited again.

Owen is survived by his parents, Thomas Nathan Grant and Kendra Cheri Ashby Grant, and his two brothers, Alex Randy Grant and Blake Ian Grant. He was preceded in death by his loving grandfather, Claude Edmond Grant, and his grandmother, Janet Stock Grant—both of whom he is undoubtedly now surrounded by in their presence and love.
