Pelayo Hermosillo Lara

Pelayo Hermosillo, 65 was born on February 18, 1960 in Santiaguito, Jalisco, Mexico. He is survived by his wife Sulema Lara de Hermosillo, sons; Santos, Osvaldo, Juan Carlos; daughter Laura and seven grandchildren.

Pelayo migrated to the US from Mexico at age 16 and went to high school and learned English in pursuit of a better life. After living San Diego for a time, he relocated to Mesquite with his wife and children in 1992. He was well-known in the community for his willingness to help others, always ready to assist anyone in need of housing.

In addition to being a dedicated member of the community, Pelayo was a wonderful father who loved to laugh and bring joy to those around him. He enjoyed family gatherings and could often be seen dancing and showcasing his moves. Overall,Pelayo was a cheerful person with a generous heart, always saying yes to those in need, particularly his family. He was committed to keeping his family united in every situation.

Many will remember Pelayo as a vibrant individual who cherished his family, horses, music, his wife’s homecooked meals and the outdoors.

Viewing services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 4:00-8:00PM at Suns Events Center located at 140 Riverside Rd, Mesquite NV 89027.

Mass services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12:00PM at the Santisima Trinidad church, 3755 S. Scenic Blvd, Arizona followed the burial services held in Mesquite, Nevada at 1362 Hardy Way, Mesquite Nevada.
