Phyllis Kachnik

Phyllis Kachnik, age of 71 of Henderson, Nevada passed away unexpectedly on August 24,2016.

Phyllis was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois in a beautiful Italian neighborhood to Louis and Josephine Dantico.  Her life was dedicated to love and giving.  She worked in Las Vegas at the Hacienda casino and ended her work career at the Luxor casino as a PBX operator.  She was a retired teamster.  She loved to spoil her grandchildren who were the most important part of her life. Her hobbies were playing games at the Rainbow with her sister and doing laundry, of all things.  She made the most delicious family meals especially breakfast casserole, pizza fritte, and was the head chef for the family and friends gathering of the Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve.  She will be missed.

Phyllis is survived by her son Louis and his wife Josephine; daughter Kimberly Graves and her husband Bradley; son Christopher and Sabrina.  She was the sunshine of her five grandchildren’s lives, Kelsey, Aaron, Krista, Kate and C.J.  She is also survived by her adoring sister, Lois Kachnik, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews to many too name but all shared a special part in her life.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2 at 10:30 at St. Andrews’s Catholic Church on 1399 San Felipe Drive in Boulder City.  A lunch will follow in the church hall.
