Pia Coladonato, 90, a resident of Las Vegas for 32 years, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019.
She was born to the late Lucio Felli and Ernesta Felli (Vicaretti), May 13, 1929 in Oakfield, New York. Pia moved with her family to Los Angeles California in the 1940’s and graduated from Garfield High School in 1948.
She married Joseph Coladonato in 1951, and they lived together in Pico Rivera and Anaheim California for 35 years before relocating to Las Vegas in 1987. Pia is survived by four children: Her daughters Maria Coladonato, Ann Boswell, Joan Coladonato, Tina Neyman and her husband Mark all of Las Vegas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pia was preceded in death by her loving husband in 2003 and her son Thomas in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Jay Felli, Sam Felli, Pat Felli, and her sister Sue Pirruccello.
A loving mother and homemaker, Pia loved to cook and enjoyed baking, most especially for birthdays and holidays. She was known for her homemade spaghetti and meatballs and her famous Italian cookies. For many years leading up to her passing, she was an avid sewer and loved crocheting blankets for all of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 12:40 p.m. at the Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City NV 89005. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
