Robert Bowen

Robert Allen Bowen, born August 1952, to Robert Leroy Bowen and Betty Delores Bowen (Munch) in

Denver, Colorado. He took his last ride from this life on December 28, 2022, at home in

Mesquite Nevada, his beloved wife of 41 years at his side.

Bob was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, a loyal Denver Broncos fan, and a devoted

husband and father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. He

grew up in Denver, Colorado; the elder brother to three sisters. On August 8, 1981, he married

the love of his life, Nancy Jean Mier in Northglenn, Colorado. They shared a loving and

wonderful marriage of 41 years raising two daughters. Bob was the dad he didn’t have to be!

Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy and daughters, Apryl Gonzales and Matthew McNabb of Oak

Ridge Tennessee, Breann and Kyle VandenBrink of Sheridan Wyoming and their families.

Grandchildren, Kayla, Hallie and Scott Sweet of Tennessee, Evelyn VandenBrink of Wyoming,

Great Grandson Marcelo of Tennessee. Along with these there are numerous nieces, nephews

and friends who will miss him greatly. Bob’s sisters Barbara (Randy) Deuter live in Aurora

Colorado, Carol Blalock (Brian) live in Arvada Colorado, and Sandy Bowen lives in Mesquite

Nevada. Bob’s brother and sister in laws, Tammy (Bob) Schaefer of Green Mountain Colorado,

Roger (Kim) Mier of Saint Johnsbury Vermont, and Chuck (Deanna) Mier of Golden Colorado.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Betty Bowen, in laws, Roger Mier and

Shirley Cooper and brother-in-law Steve Nazzise.

A celebration of life may be scheduled for a later date. Bob’s cremains will remain with is family

for the time being.
