Robert Douglas

Robert W. Douglas Sr. age 87 of Boulder City, went home to his Heavenly Father Jan. 24, 2015. Bob was born in Long Beach, CA on May 1, 1927 to Allan and Minnie Kronenburg Douglas. He married Betty Schofield who preceded him in death. He later married Maudie Wohlbrandt. During WWII, he served in the US Merchant Marines and was proud to do so. He saw the world at 17 yrs old and had many stories to tell of those years. Bob's career was with AT&T as a manager in CA and retired at 50 years old. He moved to Boulder City in 1978 and kept busy with travel and many hobbies. Ham radio was foremost and he made friends all over the world that way. A loving family man with a song in his big heart, a huge sense of humor and he would help anyone, anytime. All his decisions were made with his Lord in prayer and meditation. He lived the last two years at the NV State Veterans Home in Boulder City with Parkinson's Disease progression and we thank them and Nathan Adelson Hospice for their loving care.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty; a brother Allan Douglas JR. Bob is survived by his wife Maudie Wohlbrandt-Douglas; daughter Deborah Taylor of ID; son Robert W. Douglas Jr of CA; step-daughter Bekki Reese of Boulder City; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Bob's cremated remains were placed in the S.
