Robert Donald Rennie passed away on April 10, 2016 in Boulder City, Nevada. He was born on December 2, 1929 in National City, California. He moved to Boulder City and has been there since 1987. He attended Culver City Grammar School California where he met his wife Cathe. Both went to Hamilton High School, California and were married at the Little Church of Las Vegas in 1951.
While attending Loyola University, Don was inducted into the United States Army. He graduated from officer candidate school at Ft. Benning GA and was assigned to the 45th infantry division in Korea. He served as a Platoon Leader on Heartbreak Ridge and Christmas Hill and was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals. He worked in the electrical industry and owned his own company before retiring. He enjoyed boating, boxing, radio control airplanes, bridge and playing tennis with his wife and friends.
Don is survived by his wife Cathe, son Robert, Grandsons Daniel Froehlich, Gavin Rennie, Granddaughters Tara and Bonnie, Mary Therese, Ginette and five great grandsons. He is preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Richards.
