Ronald Alan Green, a devoted follower of Christ, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the age of 75 in Mesquite, NV. Born on August 13,1949 in Miles City, Montana, to Cora (Dunham) and Rolla Green, Ron was raised and educated in several eastern Montana towns, His mother, a school teacher, influenced his love of learning and education.
After graduating from high school and college in Miles City, it was there that he met and fell in love with Carol Ann (Carri) Manger, while she was attending Beauty College. They were united in marriage in her hometown of Grenora, ND on April 17, 1971, and together, they raised three wonderful children, instilling in them the same Christian values that had shaped his own life.
Ron’s many jobs in Management and Sales took him and his family to numerous locations, creating life experiences and making many new friends along the way. From Miles City, MT to Laramie, Wy, to Williston, ND to Bowman, ND to Colorado Springs back to Williston. Ron then semi-retired in Colorado Springs and finally settling and retiring in Mesquite in 2019.
Ron was a social and outgoing person who loved to tell jokes and engage in lively discussions, especially with his father-in-law and 2 daughters-in-law. In Ron’s younger years he enjoyed hunting, softball, basketball, and horseback riding. In more recent years, watching football (GO BRONCOS!), playing cards and games, and enjoying many rounds of golf have been a great source of entertainment. Above all, Ron was a devoted family man who cherished spending quality time, loved them fiercely, and was so proud of each and every one of them.
Ron’s legacy extends far beyond his earthly accomplishments. He was a mentor, a friend, and a shining example of the Christian faith. His unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ inspired and influenced many who knew him.
As we morn the loss of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, let us find solace in the knowledge that Ron is now reunited with his Lord and Savior, enjoying eternal peace as he knew he would.
Ron is survived by his wife, Carol Ann (Carri), Mesquite, NV; sons Jason (Rachel), Las Vegas, And Joseph (Misty) Williston, ND, Daughter, Jennifer (John) Cruz, Colorado Springs, CO, granddaughters Kelsey (Dillon) Cole, Tayler (Glen) Caldwell, Kaylin (Jayden) Marten; Great-Grandchildren Emmett and Elias Caldwell, Sayler Cole, and Baby Marten, on the way; brother Wesley (Kristy); sister Cindy (ED) Hulse and Denee Feist, Brother-in-law Roger (Mary Lou) Manger; and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, mother and father-in-law. And Brother-in-law Alan.
Ron’s memorial service will be help at Prince of Peace Lutheran church in Mesquite, NV, where Ron was a member, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Interment of Ron’s ashes will be at St, Petri Cemetery in ND at a later date.
