Rosalie Juanita Higley age 90 of Henderson passed away on November 1, 2012 following a long and debilitating fight with Alzheimer's disease. She was born October 19, 1922 in Pagosa Springs, CO to Juan B. and Pablita (Espinosa) Martinez. She had 8 brothers and sisters. She married Charles T. Higley on June 19, 1944 in San Bernadino, California. They moved to Henderson in 1954 where Charles, a carpenter, worked on the Stardust Hotel. They also resided 25 in-between years in Enterprise, UT. Charles preceded her in death on December 26, 1999.

Rosalie was an amazing cook and loved to entertain and feed people. Playing cards was one of her favorite activities. She also enjoyed the outdoors; camping, hunting, and fishing. Rosalie was a loving full time mother; her life revolved around family. She is survived by her five children Donna Carrington of Las Vegas, Charles Higley Jr. of Prescott Valley, AZ, Jo Pinther of Gardnerville, NV, Maria Edison of Henderson, John and Sue Higley of Boulder City; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren who knew her as their "Gigi." She is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters; Donelia Mullis of Cedar City, UT, Jose Martinez of Sierra Vista, AZ, Clara Martinez of Pagosa Springs, CO and Henderson, and Ray Martinez, also of Henderson.

All our family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of her life on Monday, November 19, 2012 beginning with a Mass at St Andrew Catholic Church at 9:00 A M, (1399 San Felipe Dr., Boulder City, 89005); followed immediately with a graveside prayer service at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, and a pot-luck luncheon at the Boulder City multi-use building, Broadbent Park, 1204 6th St..
