Rosalie Willis

March 18, 1940 — April 5, 2015

Rosalie Deanne Willis, age 75, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on April 5, 2015 in Henderson, NV. She was born on March 18, 1940 in Logan, Utah the oldest of two children to Golden Jackson Obray and Doris Obray. Although she lost her Father at a very young age and never had the opportunity to know him she was blessed with a step-father Alva Smith whom she adored. She grew up in Paradise, UT and had very fond memories about growing up in Paradise. She married Paul G Willis on July 26, 1960 in Paradise, Utah. Shortly after being married they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and started a family of their own with four beautiful kids. Paul's sweet nickname for her was "Rosie" he would always call her Rosie and then he would chuckle. Paul and Rosie were later sealed in the St George Temple in March 22, 1969.

Rosalie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many different positions within the church over her lifetime. One of her favorites that she cherished was being called to be a Temple Worker. She never missed a day that she was supposed to be to working in the temple. She was sad when the day came that she was unable to work in the Temple and she always said she would work in there again. She enjoyed sewing and taught sewing classes to help others learn including grandkids. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, doing crafts and especially doing genealogy. Anytime any of the grandkids would ask any questions about any of them she would never miss an opportunity to show them or teach them about it. She was so excited about genealogy and wanted everyone to do it. She taught herself to play the piano and the organ and she played very well. She enjoyed going on rides to Lake Mead with her husband. If Grandpa and Grandma were not home chances are they were on one of their drives to the Lake. She was very adamant about letting her family know that she loved them. She made an avid attempt to talk to everyone on their birthdays, and holidays. She wanted everyone to know that they were special to her and anything she could help with she would, but she would always say "everything will be alright". She learned how to text and be facebook savvy to stay in communication with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Rosalie is survived by three children Jacqueline (Mike) Upshaw, of LeGrande, OR, Deborah (Chris) Bunker of Henderson, NV, Paul E Willis of Liberty Center, OH ,one brother Golden Obray of Sevier, UT, stepbrother Alva (Skipper) Smith of Arizona; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Willis in 2012 and one daughter Paula Campbell. She is finally reunited with them both whom she missed dearly.
