Rose Chopin
May 17, 1924 — March 25, 2013
Rose Baber Chopin, age 88 of Boulder City, NV passed away on March 25, 2013 at the Nevada State Veterans Home. She was born in 1924 in Des Moines, IA to Robert and Myrtle Huff Baber. She married Thomas Chopin on November 6, 1948. He preceded her in death in August of 2001. In 2009 Rose moved to Nevada from Florida to be closer to her family.
Rose enjoyed reading, sewing, and working in the garden. She had a love of art and volunteered many hours at the Brevard Art Museum in Melbourne, Florida. She is also Army veteran as she severed in the Women's Army Corp during WWII.
She is survived by her two children Ann (Jim) Lara of Boulder City, NV, Steve (Sharon) Chopin of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren Nicholas Lara and Mathew Lara of Boulder City, Mike Chopin and Kate Chopin of Knoxville, two sisters Gwen Goetz of St. Louis, MO and Kathyn Grayson of Loomis, CA.
