Rosemary Rudolf Hopper, age 89 and resident of Las Vegas and Boulder City, Nevada, for 54 years, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2014. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 11, 1925 to William and Elizabeth Rudolf. She was raised in Cincinnati and married her first husband, James Milazzo in 1947, they lived in Hollywood and Burbank, California for three years and returned to Cincinnati in 1951 where they had one son Terrence. In 1960 following the early death of her father she moved to Las Vegas to marry her high school sweetheart, Leslie Charles Hopper, They had one son whom they named Les. It was in the Charleston Heights area of Las Vegas that she raised her family and lived happily for many years. She retired in 2009 to Boulder City where she spent the rest of her life.
Rosemary was a good homemaker and also worked in jewelry sales at Circus-Circus, MGM Grand, and the first Palace Station as well as several other locations near the strip. She enjoyed popular and Great American Songbook music and loved dancing to the great traveling dance bands in the 40's and 50's, she was an avid reader and liked to trade books with her sister. She loved to rescue stray animals (dogs and turtles), which she cared for throughout her years. And although she lived in and loved the desert, she also had a deep love of the ocean, and enjoyed walks along the beach.
She is survived by her sister, Marcella Patrick of Mission Viejo, California; her two sons Terrence Hopper of Springfield, Missouri and Leslie Hopper of San Diego, California and her daughter's in law- Mary Maslak of Springfield and Susie Hopper of San Diego. She was also very proud of her three grandchildren, Terra, Jules, and Noa and loved them very much.
