Rosemary S Lindbeck

July 2, 1934 — June 6, 2024

Mesquite

Rosemary S. Lindbeck, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 89. She was surrounded by love in her final moments. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones, but her spirit of determination and friendship will endure in their memories.

Born on July 2, 1934, in Salt Lake City, UT, Rosemary was the daughter of Albert C. and Rose E. Schwertz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick L. Lindbeck, her parents, and her sister Kathleen S. Bush. She was also preceded by her niece, Heather E. Bush Lewis.

Rosemary is survived by her loving daughter Melaine, her son Fritz (Fredrick) and daughter-in-law Shauna, and her "soul" son Rick Bartman. She was a proud grandmother to Casey (Nicole), Weston (Chelsea), and great-grandmother to Charley and Cash. She is also survived by her nephew Timm Lewis (Heather).

Rosemary's life was one of service and compassion. She graduated from Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing in the Class of 1955, where she served as the Freshman class president and later supported and organized events for school alumni. Her passion for nursing led her to various roles, including teaching pediatrics at HCH School of Nursing, and working as a med-surg and newborn nurse. She also served as a student health nurse & instructor and contributed to utilization & quality assurance programs. Later in her career, Rosemary worked in program development at 3M Health and served as the editor of the Desert Dames Dispatch in Mesquite.

Beyond her professional achievements, Rosemary was known for her quick wit and fierce loyalty to her friends. Her sharp intellect and sense of humor brightened the lives of all who knew her. In her leisure time, Rosemary enjoyed playing games with her friends and family, and was rarely bested in Scrabble. She and Fred found joy in summers spent at the family cabin in Fishlake, a place still cherished by the Lindbeck family.

A service to honor Rosemary's life will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Valley Presbyterian Church, 350 Falcon Ridge Parkway, Ste 702. Interment will follow at Mesquite Municipal Cemetery, 10 E. Mesquite Blvd, under the care of Star Mortuary.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Mesa View Regional Hospital, Mesa View Hospice, and Highland Manor of Mesquite for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Rosemary S. Lindbeck, a woman whose life touched so many with love and compassion.
