Roy Johnson

Roy Dean Johnson, age 80, of Mesquite, NV passed away on October 17, 2022 in St. George, UT. He was

born on March 1, 1942 in Galesburg, IL to Laverne and Helen Johnson. He served his country in the

United States Air Force. He worked as a lineman for different power companies during his career.

Roy moved from Crown Point, IN to West Valley, UT and married Gudrun Irma Smith. They moved to

Mesquite 25 years ago after Roy retired from Pacific Core after 16 years. Roy enjoyed working with his

hands and building things. He was a great wood worker, bead worker and enjoyed yard work. Roy and

Gudrun also enjoyed camping and being in the mountains.

Roy is survived by his wife Gudrun Johnson; a son, James (Donna) Johnson; granddaughter, Kyley (Chase) Jesup; great-grandson, Rowland.
