Russell Newell

Russell Lake Newell, age 79, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on February 25, 2013. He was born on September 8, 1933 in Clinton, Washington to Roy and Bessie Lyons Newell. He served in the United States Army and later in United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1982. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the VFW. Russell enjoyed reading and watching sports. He had a strong faith and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Russell is survived by his wife Mi Yung Newell of Las Vegas, NV; son Jerry Newell, daughter in law Margaretta Newell; two grandchildren Tony and Ty Newell; nephew Bomjoo Un; and niece MiJin Un.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 2:00 at the Griffith United MethodistChurch 1701 E Oakey Blvd Las Vegas. Burial will be held at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City on Tuesday March 5 at 9:20 am.
