Saundria Bordone

August 30, 1945 — November 9, 2012

Saundria Kay Bordone, known to family and friends as Saundy, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 of lung cancer at the age of 67. She was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Claude W. and Josephine N. Jones. She began her career as one of two women in the management program at the United States Post Office and later worked at the National Labor Relations Board, ultimately serving as Regional Director in Indianapolis, Indiana. After retiring from the NLRB she became an attorney focusing on child advocacy, arbitration, and labor relations. Most recently, she lived in Boulder City, Nevada working as a mediator and arbitrator and spending time with her family, friends, and twin grandchildren. Saundy enjoyed traveling, photography, and crocheting and loved her loyal dog Robbie. Her vibrant personality and active lifestyle was shared with her friend John Ryan, also of Boulder City. She was well loved and will be greatly missed.

Saundy is survived by her son Paul Bordone, daughter-in-law Sarah Jane Barlage, and her grandchildren Lucy and Lincoln Bordone of Danville, California and her sister Claudia Heath and husband Bob of Lexington, Kentucky, her niece Jody Wink and daughter Megan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her nephew Cameron Peck, his wife Anne, and their children Katie and Grant, of Lexington, Kentucky.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12 at 3 pm at Boulder City Family Mortuary. Memorials in her honor may be made tothe American Lung Association.
