Sharon Wieczorek

Sharon Wieczorek passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2022 at the age of 78.  She was born June 21, 1943 in Bemidji, Minnesota to the late Harold and Cordella Rachuy.  She was raised in Duluth, Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth for 3 years majoring in elementary education.  She moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she met her husband, Bill, of 52 years.  In St. Paul she worked at West Publishing, a law book publisher.  She worked for Westinghouse as administrative manager until she retired and moved west.  Sharon and Bill relocated to Boulder City in 1987.  Sharon served the Boulder City community by becoming an active member of Grace Community Church.  She was employed as church office manager for 7 years.  She served for 10 years on Boulder City Hospital Board of Directors.  She also served on the Board of Directors of Homestead Assisted Living.  Sharon supported education for women through her 31 year membership of P.E.O. Chapter K.  She was 2012 President of Nevada State P.E.O.  She will be sadly missed by her husband, Bill, stepdaughter, Nancy (Bill), grandsons, Michael and Patrick, brother, Bruce (Claudia), Aunt Audrey, Grace Church Community, and her many P.E.O. Sisters.  A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at 3PM Friday, July 1, 2022 at Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City, Nevada. Masks are suggested.  A luncheon will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to P.E.O. Chapter K Foundation and mailed to 144 Lake Mountain Drive, Boulder City Nevada 89005 c/o Nancy Loudin.
