Valerie Rosland Long, age 49, of Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 17, 2014. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 4, 1965 to Norval Rosland and Doris Chatfield Campman. She graduated from Chaparral High School in 1983. She married Gary Long on August 2, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Valerie was a giver, she gave of herself, her heart and her life, time and time again--this was who she was throughout her life and was her up to the very end. She always thought about others before she thought about herself. Valerie's Life is seen in the donation of Love that she gave to everybody. Valerie was a cherished mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed dearly by all that ever knew hera�"she will be remembered for her legacy of love.
Valerie is survived by her husband Gary Long; five children Christian Long, Samuel Long, Rhea Long (Jonathan Brim), Bethany (Jacob) Klein and Robin Long (Crystal Newcomb); a granddaughter Juliette and grandson Jackson; a sister Dianna (Gilbert) Cabrera; two brothers James Campman, and William (Jerilee) Campman. And many very close friends. Valerie also leaves behind a very large and extended family on both her father and mother's side, whom she loved and adored. She is preceded in death by her parents Norval Rosland and Doris Campman.
Family will be holding an open house to honor Valerie's memory on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at the Long Family home: 60 Fogg Street Las Vegas, NV 89110 Another memorial service will be held for Valerie and her mother Doris on Saturday, April 19th from 1-4pm at the home of her brother William Campman: 220 West Laval Henderson, 89015 Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
