Velma Mendel

Velma Harriet Mendel, age 92, of Boulder City passed away on November 16, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on November 2, 1920 in Shelby Basin, New York to Glen and Cora Evans Gardner. She married Raymond Mendel on February 1, 1941. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage until his passing in 2009.
Velma worked as an executive secretary in the automotive industry and also helped her husband who owned a landscaping business. She was a wonderful homemaker that love cooking, and reading. They moved to Boulder City in 1989 after retiring.
