Vicki Nell Simmons

Vicki N Simmons 69 of Mesquite, NV passed away on Friday Feb 9th at 3:40 am 2024. At Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite, NV. She in Hospice care since October. She was born September 29th 1954 in Culver City, Ca. To Frank George Eagle and Millie Mildred Morris. Married to Grant W Simmons on March 27 th 2006 in Las Vegas. Vicki was raised in Phoenix, AZ, she enjoyed selling Avon and enjoyed listening to music. Also being a back singer for Sylvia Kirby singing the song “Nobody”.

Vicki moved to Las Vegas in the 80s and worked at the Flamingo Casino as a Change Attendant and later on moved up to being a Surveillance Agent which she really enjoyed doing. She moved on to work at the Texas Casino in 2009 working as a Surveillance Agent. Vicki retired in June of 2017 because of Medical problems. She moved to Mesquite, NV in December 2022 to finish her retirement with her Husband. She also enjoyed the following; she loved to sing & Dance, (she sang to songs on the radio)Her favorite songs; Cross My Heart by George Strait (which was her wedding song) Through the Years by Kenny Rogers, she very big Elvis Fan she loved all his music, big fan of Cher and the music of Foreigner and all early Country Western music. She was a animal lover, leaving behind 2 cats, which she called her girls. She adored them dearly.

She enjoyed going to shows, seeing famous entertainers, Tony Orlando, Frankie Avalon, George Wallace and Peter Noone. She enjoyed going to San Diego, visiting the zoo & Old Town. Also coming home from San Diego, visiting Calico a Ghost & Old Western Town. She always loved being with her Grand Kids, which she adored so Much. She enjoyed New Years Eve Parties. Her favorite TV shows In the Heat of the Night, SVU, Chopped, Golden Girls, Price is Right, Dick Van Dyke, American Pickers and Family Feud. Also being with her Friends working at Texas Station; Tony and his Wife Summer & Kenny & his Wife Carol, they meant so Much to her. She also loved viewing the Mountains from her living room window.

She donated her Corneas, she wanted so much to help someone that needed them.

She loved living in Mesquite, for Retirement, enjoyed meeting our neighbors Rocky & Jeannie Dippel, Connie & Larry Stagg and Gordon Everett & His wife and loved the Mountains & Mesquite being so quiet.

She is survived by her Husband Grant W Simmons in Mesquite, NV Loving Mother of Michael Mirabal 2nd his wife Alisa Mirabal and Grand Kids. Grand Daughter Mia Mirabal & Grandson Michael Mirabal 3rd. Residing in Henderson, NV & In-laws of Glenn W Simmons and his Wife Jean Simmons Residing in Andover, Mass. Persons that passed in Vicki’s Life; Her Daughter Laura Beth West Her Brother Robert Temple Eakle.

Vicki you gave me Happiness in my Life, where no one ever did. I’ll never forget your beautiful smile, and the Special person you were to me. I will cherish the Memories we had together. I was there for you to the end.

You now have Peace in Valley. I will be there when God calls. You are now Heaven in the hands of Guardian Angels, that will watch over you and your Daughter now. My Love for you, will continue on forever. Vicki Thank You for your Love & Happiness. 

I was so Blessed to had you in my Life. Thank You for 18 Beautiful Years! You are the Love of My Life. Rest In Peace My Beautiful Baby. Your Loving Husband.
