Violet Daly

Violet Mae (Brockman) Daly, age 88 of Boulder City, NV passed away on October 24, 2012. She was born on July 31, 1924 to Ralph and Anne (Titus) Brockman in Rolling Green Township, Martin County, MN. She married John Daly in 1955 and traveled with him as he served 20 years in the Army. She was a member of the Officer's Wives Club and was a youth director for army children. She was an avid bowler and served as an officer of the Women's International Bowling Congress in the 1990's. She also enjoyed doing craft projects. They moved to Boulder City, NV from Phoenix, AZ in 1987 after Violet retired from Honeywell.
Violet is survived by her husband John Daly; a son Randy (Doris) Daly, a sister Iris "Jackie" Lorain Friesen; two brothers Eldon (Laurabelle) Brockman, James (Kate) Brockman; nine nieces and nephews; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a great great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister Joyce Personius Dean; a sister in law Marilyn Brockman; four brother in laws Orlando Friesen, Albert Personius, Raymond Dean, and Pat Daly.
The family will be having private services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Nevada State Veterans Home at 100 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005 in Violets name.
