Virginia L. Goen 93 of Boulder City, died February 17, 2022 surrounded by family. Virginia (Jenny) was born May 12, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas to Willis Vaunley Luker and Mary Frances Bedingfield. She grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Boulder City as a teenager where she met her future husband Kenny Goen.
They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where they raised three children, a daughter Cathy, and two sons, Mike and Larry. She worked in various professions as a book keeper and legal secretary. In 1976, she and Kenny moved back to Boulder City where they retired and lived out their lives. No matter where she was, Jenny enjoyed the outdoors including picnics, camping and fishing in the mountains, and enjoyed many hours drinking her coffee and bird watching from her back porch in her later years. Jenny was quite an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crafting of all kinds.
Jenny was preceded in death by her husband Kenny and great granddaughter Taylor. She is survived by daughter Cathy Ronan, grandchildren Sean (Chrystal), Erin DeBono (Rob); son Mike (Judy), grandchildren Matthew (Sarah) and Sam (Keilyn); son Larry (Julie), grandchildren Michael (Kari) and Christopher (Ravali); and 6 great grandchildren, Morgan, Jared, Ryan and Liam Ronan, and Kayden and Mattis DeBono.
The family will be having a memorial in her honor in the Sandia Mountains outside of Albuquerque in the near future.
