Virginia Marie Lupinek "Ginny", age 56, passed away on November 11, 2015. She was born on October 28, 1959 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, to Neal and Mary (Steffens) Munyon. She moved from Pensacola, Florida to Henderson, Nevada in 1979.
Virginia is a member of the Highland Hills Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Las Vegas Hot-Diggity Dachshund Club & Rescue. Virginia was very athletic and earned nine letters in High School sports. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially hiking Mt Charleston. Virginia was a selfless person and spent 12 years in the United States Navy. She was a Girl Scout Leaders and coached many youth teams. Virginia taught at many elementary schools in the valley, including: Fay Galloway, Lois Craig, and J. M. Ullom Elementary.
Ginny's family members include her husband Daniel Lupinek, sons Andrew Crews (deceased) and Stephen (Heather) Crews and a daughter Kristen (Michael) McComb; two brothers, Tom Munyon and Mark Munyon; four sisters, Joan Davis, Beth Sawyer, Claire Robertson, and Carolyn Garcia; five grandchildren, Callum Crews, Sylvie Crews, Fia Crews, Aurora McComb, and Ryder McComb.
Friends are welcome to join a Celebration of Ginny's life at Highland Hills Baptist Church on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 10:30 am. Services will be held on December 18, 2015 at 12:40 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be given to Silent Voices (www.silentvoices.org) or A21 Campaign (www.a21.org).
