Warren Hogue, age 103, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2013 at the Nevada State Veterans Home in Boulder City, Nevada where, for several years, he had lived and been cared for by the Home's wonderful staff. Warren was born in Paris, Texas on September 9, 1909, the youngest of eight children born to William and Annie Stewart Hogue. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed his time at the Home where, until recently, he was extremely active for his age, spending much time walking. Warren is survived by a niece, Marjorie Fogleman of Wimberley, Texas and two nephews, Donald Bobb, of Austin, Texas and Richard Hogue of Granada Hills, California. Funeral services will be held at the Veterans Cemetery at 11:20AM on Monday, September 9th and, the next day, at the Home at 1:00PM. Anyone wishing to make a charitable contribution in his name could contribute to the Nevada Veterans Assistance League (NVAL), P.O. Box 60464, Boulder City, NV 89006-0464. Contributions directed to NVAL's Resident Fund go to the needs of the Home's residents. Family and friends can sign an online guest book at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
