William Gonzalez

William Gonzalez, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on January 14, 2024. His cherished wife and best friend, Agnes Gonzalez, was by his side along with family friends, Tony and Crystal Molina, when he was called to heaven. His loss was unexpected and his family is deeply saddened.

William was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, on June 15, 1943, to William and Ramona Gonzalez. He was the 4th of six siblings, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. William was a veteran of the US Navy stationed on Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA. He was assigned to the USS Walker (DD-517) and served tours in Japan and Hawaii from 1960-1964.

William had a great love for the outdoors and in his early years enjoyed playing tennis, traveling and camping. William had a huge generous heart for anyone in need. On his days off you would find him and his wife at nearby Lake Mead, enjoying the scenery and watching his Old English Sheep dog, Russell, play in the water.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, step-father, brother, uncle, godfather, had many nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends who William considered to be family. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ramona Gonzalez, brother, Jesus Gonzalez and sister, Carmen Gonzalez.

William is survived by his wife, Agnes Gonzalez, his daughters, Gloria Gonzalez, of Downey, CA, Deborah Magallanez, son-in-law, Leonard Magallanez, of Dublin, CA and his grandchildren, Genevieve, Rene, Meghan, Brianna, Brendan, Jacob and Amberleigh and 10 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Henry Gonzalez, of El Paso, Texas, Charlie Gonzalez, of Stony Brook, NY and sister, Sylvia Spidel, of Denver, Colorado.

FUNERAL SERVICES:

Viewing, Visitation and Rosary with family will be held on Thursday, February 8th, from 5 pm to 7pm; Star Mortuary - 6484 Boulder Ranch Ave, Henderson, NV 89011.

Memorial & Burial - 12 noon on Friday, February 9th; Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery - 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005.
