William Renek

William (Bill) Renek, age 88, of Las Vegas passed away on April 21, 2013. He was born on January 18, 1925 in Los Angeles, CA to Frank and Olga (Sweet) Renek. He married Freda Ferrara on November 19, 1950 in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death in 2009. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He moved to Las Vegas in 1973. Bill co-owned and operated The King of Clubs on N. Decatur with his longtime friend and brother-in-law Richard Ferrara and retired in 1999.
William enjoyed golfing and gambling. He was a member of the VFW for many years. He is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Katherine & Ron Kepner of Las Vegas, Karen & David Webster of Meridian, ID, Kandy Renek of Las Vegas; a son Aaron Renek of Las Vegas; three grandchildren Tessie, Leslie, Ronnie; two great grandchildren Zach and Renae.
Funeral service will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 12:00. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Boulder City Family Mortuary from 10:30 to 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Altzheimers research in William's name.
